Dear Patients,

We want to let you know that we care deeply about your health and safety.   In light of the recent coronavirus pandemic, we have decided to implement more rigorous precautions and safety measures, in addition to our common daily procedures, to ensure that we do our very best to protect everyone who visits the office.

The new measures are based on recent scientific guidance on the coronavirus, as well as guidelines set forth by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control).

Our additional procedures are as follows:

  1. MASK IS MANDATORY. Everyone who enters the office will be required to wear a mask.  Please note that a mask with an external valve does not count as sufficient protection and thus, will not be considered.
  2. PROPER HAND WASHING. We will be more strictly monitoring hand washing before and after therapy sessions. Proper hand washing is done for a period of 20 seconds.  There are antibacterial hand sanitizers throughout the space as well
  3. NO WALK-INS. Appointments are required and when we call to confirm your appointments, we will ask if you are currently experiencing or have experienced in the past few days any fever or dry cough. In the event that a person is sick, all future appointments will be canceled, until at least 2 weeks after your fever stops. Please call us 2 weeks after your last fever has stopped.
  4. TEMPERATURE CHECK. We will be conducting forehead temperature checks on each person entering the office, including staff members. Anyone with a fever, exhibiting cough, or cold symptoms will not be allowed in the office.
  5. TRAVEL PLANS. If you have or are planning to travel by air or sea, we will schedule your appointments after 2 weeks from when return from your travels to ensure you have time to isolate for 2 weeks. If you present any symptoms upon return, please contact your doctor immediately and let us know as well.
  6. EXERCISE OPTIONS. There may be certain exercises, especially in hand therapy, during which we will ask you to wear gloves.  Certain exercise tools are very difficult to sanitize regularly and we will avoid using these tools. However, there may be some patients with conditions which are best resolved by using these tools.  We will explain and give you the option to use the tools, and ask you to wear gloves in order to prevent direct contact.
  7. CONSTANT CLEANING. We will be constantly cleaning/sanitizing all our equipment, exercise tools, furniture throughout the day.  This may inconvenience everyone and slow down our processes, but this will be necessary to keep our office free of contagions.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for all your cooperation and for continuing to support our facility.
